Position Summary: The School for Field Studies (SFS), Center for Coastal Studies located in Puerto San Carlos, seeks an experienced Site Manager with hands-on facility maintenance experience, strong organizational skills and bookkeeping/purchasing experience. We are looking for someone to join our team who can ensure the smooth management of our facilities (including buildings, grounds & vehicles), includes regular maintenance and repairs, as well as administrative duties such as purchasing and bookkeeping. If you love variety in your work, are a great problem-solver and have a proactive approach to managing center facilities, we want to meet you!
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent combination of relevant work experience
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Construction experience
Mechanical, maintenance and vehicular repair skills (knowledge)
Knowledge of PC computer installation and troubleshooting
Financial management, inventory and record keeping experience (Blackbaud
Financial preferred)
Capital Purchasing experience
Fluent English and Spanish
Experience living or working in the region
First Aid and CPR certification
Ability to work as a team member and individually
Drive standard transmission vehicles as needed
Other Expectations:
Demonstrated commitment to environmental issues
Willingness to live and work with US undergraduate students and participate fully in community life
Willingness to work flexible hours
Willingness to live on site in field station conditions
Salary: $14,000 - $17000 USD (based on experience) room and board while on site, plus benefits
